Mongolia has a population of about 3.2 million, which is sparsely distributed given their mountainous and large land area. The population is relatively young, where the average is below 30 years old.

The services sector contributes the most to its GDP at 40%, and is closely followed by the industrial sector at around 38%.

Consumers

The consumer behaviour of Mongolians is different from that of the Chinese. There is a strong demand for foreign quality brands from Europe and other parts of Asia. Televisions are currently still the best way to reach Mongolian consumers.

With low internet penetration in Mongolia, it may be difficult to collect responses through online surveys due to limited reach. Transport infrastructure are still underdeveloped, which makes access to the rural areas difficult, especially in the ger districts.
